In
May of 2002 the European Union mandated that all pressure equipment sold
or installed in Europe must meet new criteria called the Pressure
Equipment Directive (PED). This Directive is part of a group of Directives
aimed at making equipment meet standards of safety and quality. AIP is one
of few companies who have gone through the certification process
requirements to be recognized by a "Notified Body". The
completion of this testing process has allowed AIP to deliver CE labeled
systems meeting all of the requirements of these Directives, which
also include the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electromagnetic Interference
Directive (EMC), and Machinery Directive. Of course AIP systems have
always met the NEC and OHSA requirements for the USA, including ASME and
ANSI codes.
