The MolyCoreä
hot isostatic press furnaces from American Isostatic Presses, Inc. feature
a hybrid Inconel/Molybdenum structure which operate more reliably than
standard NiCrAl heated furnaces. These furnaces operate to 1250 C and use
high density, ultra high purity Alumina insulators to provide better
resistance to contamination, but still resist thermal shock. MolyCoreä
furnaces use the InstaPlugä
interface allowing rapid removal for loading or maintenance, as well as
the ability to use multiple or different style furnaces in the same HIP
system. MolyCoreä
furnaces provide better service life than many original OEM HIP furnaces
and maintenance is easier. Upgrading an older HIP system to use a MolyCoreä
furnace, combined with AIP’s HIPSoftä
operating software, yields performance similar to a new system at
reduced cost. Sizes over 1 meter in diameter and 3 meters long are
currently in service. Higher temperature furnaces are available in the
1500 C MolyMaxä
and 2200 C CarbonTechä
lines.
